Standard Musical Instrument Rental Group A includes: trumpet rental, flute rental, clarinet rental, violin rental (1/16, 1/8, 1/4, 1/2, 3/4, full size), trombone rental. Group B includes 1/2 size cello rental, 3/4 size cello rental, alto saxophone rental, tenor saxophone rental, bassoon rental, oboe rental. All instrument rentals require a valid Ohio driver's license, a major credit card, and an active checking account. Independence Music School services all Prestige Music Rentals and repairs as a courtesy to former Prestige Music customers. We believe that advanced music student and beginner music students alike need quality musical instruments to play and to practice with. We have searched all of the musical instruments and selected national brands of music instruments that strike a balance between performance and price. When considering a musical instrument rental, the most important factor is to be sure that the musical instrument that you rent or own will perform throughout the school year without "breaking down". The music teachers want to spend their time teaching, not fixing valves and springs on broken down musical instruments. This is the reason why school music directors recommend that parents NOT go to the internet or Walmart to buy cheap musical instruments. Our service is second to none. When you rent a clarinet or saxophone, your kit will include a quality clarinet or saxophone that has been sanitized, cleaned, inspected, and checked out by a qualified technician. Your kit will include a reed, a clarinet or saxophone strap, and a case to store your clarinet or saxophone. Maintenance is included in the price of your monthly rental, so there are no hidden charges when you rent from Independence School of Music. If you need to change from one instrument to another, simply pay the $10 exchange fee, and you will continue to build equity in your instrument. Used instruments, even from well known manufactures such as Yamaha or Selmer or Bach can be problematic if they have not been taken care of. Likewise, some of the foreign imports have price as the only selling feature and literally fall apart before the end of a single marching band season. This is the reason stores like Royalton Music Center will not even allow their rented instruments to be used for marching band.
