You should be proud of yourselves.  You worked hard on your music.  Sometimes, perhaps you wanted to go outside and play, or go to the pool.  Sometimes, you might have missed practice because of too much homework, or a special party.  But overall, you practiced almost every day, every week, and it paid off.

You have learned that playing an instrument is one of the best things you can do with your free time.  You are a member of an special club of those who can play an instrument. Maybe you will never be a rock star... but who knows, maybe you will play trumpet or flute, or violin in high school or college.  But I can promise you , that when you get older, you will meet many people who will say, "I wish my mom would have made me practice my piano" or "I wish I would have studied violin or guitar when I was young", .or simply..."I would I could play a musical instrument".  Be sure to thank your parents for giving you the gift of music . (music lessons).

Please tell you friends how good it makes you feel when you practice your instrument, and become good enough so that you can do a recital in front of your parents and teachers and friends.  Invite your friends to take private music lessons at Independence School of Music.  Your teacher will allow you to bring a friend to your lesson if they would like to see what a private music lesson is like.  Just be sure to practice every day, because the more you practice, the more you will improve, and the more you will enjoy your musical instrument.
