January 1,2008 - Independence School of Music has introduced an introductory special allowing the first 25 new students this month to register for weekly private music lessons for only $59/month. November 15, 2007 - Reprint of Sun Courier article on International Drum Month with a really cool picture of Independence School of Music drummer Erik Roszak. Also see owner Bob Collett on his guitar carpet. November 8, 2007 - Gary Boyer has joined the teaching staff of Independence School of Music. Gary is a music major at Cleveland State University, and teaches all styles of guitar, including both jazz and classical guitar. November 3, 2007 - Amy-Lynne Berry joined the staff of Independence School of Music. Amy has a Music degree from BW, and teaches Viola, Violin and Cello. October 27, 2007 - Independence School of Music attended St. Michael's School Pumpkinfest fundraiser in Independence Ohio. We donated a genuine Fender Starcaster guitar as part of their Chinese raffle. In addition to the guitar, Independence School of Music donated a month of free guitar lessons, and a number of free trial lessons to St. Michael's students. The event featured several area high school bands. October 14, 2007 - Tom Mroczka has joined the teaching staff of Independence School of Music. Tom has a music education degree from The Ohio State University and 28 years of experience as a music teacher and also plays in several bands. He teaches several instruments. October 7, 2007 - Independence School of Music held its first recital at Briells's coffee shop in Independence Ohio. About 20 of our students participated in their first recital. It was a pleasant afternoon. October 1, 2007 - Independence School of Music initiates its "buddy guitar lesson" program design as a fun lessons for beginning students who are near the same skill level, adult couples, and advanced students who want to jam with a pro. September 6, 2007 - Independence School of Music expands its school rental instrument program. August 1, 2007 - Independence School of Music announces its first recital. July 1, 2007 - Independence School of Music and Brecksville School of Music are no longer affiliated. The retail inventory from Brecksville School of Music moves to Independence School of Music. June 1, 2007 - Independence School of Music opens. Prestige Music teachers and students become part of the Independence School of Music family.
