Independence School of Music is now forming two Brass Groups under the leadership of Eric Dregne
Eric has an English degree, and studied music at Youngstown State University.  He received a Fellowship from Aspen Music Festival.  He is presently the Musical Director of The Roberto Ocasio Latin Jazz Project, a group that plays extensively throughout northeastern Ohio.  Eric has been teaching 17 years, and is known around the community for his teaching at summer band camps.  He is a cool dude with a horn.

Brass One
This group will meet on Tuesday or Wednesday Evenings at 7 pm for one hour and will prepare to perform at a local community event.  Students of any brass instrument may apply.  Students should have two to three years on their chosen instrument.  Cost is $49 per month, per student. (minimum 4 students)

Brass Two
Brass Two is our elite group of Brass students.  Brass Two is for brass instrument students with 3 to 5 years on their instrument.  The group meets Monday evening at 8 pm, and will jointly decide which style of music to study based upon the preferences and experiences of the members, and may even change the name of the group.  Cost is $49 per month per student.  The group will prepare to play a "gig" at a local community event.

Jazz Improv
Are you ready for this.  We are forming a Jazz Improvisation group for students with a minimum of 3 years experience.  The 5 to 8 member Jazz  Improv group meets once a week for one hour.  You will learn to play together with a small group of similarly skilled musicians on different instruments.  You will learn techniques of jamming where each instrument has opportunity to solo.  Music selection will be based upon the input from the group members.  Jazz Improv group participation also includes one 30 minute private lesson per month for each student so that you can work on individual aspects of your music.  The best of private and group lessons.  Edric Dregne and Dave Kochis team up to cover Jazz improve.  This group is open to brass woodwind and percussion students.   Cost $69 per month per student.
