  • Singing Audition Training - Voice Audition Preparation - Audition Coach - School Musical

    statistics
One of the most difficult instruments to teach is the human voice.  Some of us are simply born to sing.  But ALL of us can learn to sing better.  All of us can learn to sing better.  When your school announces their upcoming musical, you know you want to try out.  Most of us are a little self conscious about our own singing.  Often a few "tricks" can help a great deal.  Learning how to present yourself for an audition is no substitute for years of voice training, but it can help you to build confidence before your next school play audition.

When a student tells me they can not sing, the first question I ask is, "Do you sing in the shower"?  When nobody is around, we all have great voices.  We belt out our favorite tunes without being intimidated by the sound of our own voice.

When your school has upcoming auditions, get four or five of your friends together and call Independence School of Music to arrange for audition training.  Gretchen can handle a small class of up to 6 students at a time, allowing her to teach the group how to project your voice and prepare for that audition, and also allowing for some individual coaching.

The cost is for the two sessions is $60, (usually about $10 per person), and includes two 50 minute group sessions on two separate days,  to help you prepare for the audition.  We can not guarantee you will get a lead role, but you will have more fun and more confidence going into the audition.
